Interested in becoming a member?
| Membership and Dues: | ||
| A. | Any person interested in the objectives of the Association of New England Ox Teamsters and willing to uphold its policies and subscribe to its By-Laws may become a member upon payment of dues as hereinafter provided. | |
| B. | The annual dues shall be $20.00. Family memberships are available $20.00 for (1) adult, $6.00 for spouse and $6.00 for each child under 19 on January 1st of the administrative year. All dues are payable by March 1st. If these dues are not paid by this date, dues will increase to: Adult - $30.00, $10.00 for spouse and $10.00 per child. For those who are new, dues of $20.00, etc., may be paid at any time. | |
| C. | Membership insures all members equal voting rights and rights to hold office in the Association. | |
| D. | Lifetime honorary memberships may be granted at the annual fall meeting with approval of 3/4's of the members present and voting. | |
| E. | The Executive Committee will study the members each year choosing an outstanding member 62 years of age or older and make a recommendation for the membership. | |
| F. | Officers dues are paid for as long as they are in office. | |
| Meetings: | ||
| A. | All meetings to be held at a central location which is acceptable to majority of members. | |
| B. | Election of officers to be held on the first Sunday in November. | |
| C. | There will be two regularly scheduled meetings a year to take up all necessary business. Fall meeting will be the first Sunday in November, spring meeting will be scheduled for the end of March. | |
| D. | A meeting may be called at any time when the officers deem it necessary. Members to be given three weeks notice with agenda. | |
| E. | All rules, changes and additions shall be made at annual meeting. | |
| F. | A ballot for voting on rule changes to be sent to members 60 days in advance of the annual meeting. | |
| Policies: | ||
| A. | This Association shall not seek to direct the administrative activities of any fair association. | |
| B. | This Association shall seek to secure and maintain harmony with all fair associations. | |
| C. | This Association shall provide equal rights and privileges to all its members. | |
| D. | This Association shall seek to promote the general welfare of the Association of New England Ox Teamsters. | |
| E. | This Association supports open competition. | |
